Health care info, services at Placitas Community Center
Dr. Marylou Skelton, a chiropractic physician and B.E.S.T. Elite Master, new to Placitas, will give health-related talks on Tuesdays at the Placitas Community Center. On April 13, at 12:30 p.m., the topic will be high blood pressure and ways to deal with this health concern using the six essentials for health. She will cover topics such as diet, exercise, and stress, and show a simple technique to lower blood pressure instantly.
On April 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Placitas Volunteer Fire Department will be at the Placitas Community Center to provide free health checks for blood pressure, lung sound, 02 Sat. and blood glucose. The volunteers are scheduled to come every third Thursday of the month to conduct these free health checks.
