Mondays: Happiness That Lasts. Learn easy ways to develop a special experience of mental peace; as this grows our problems naturally decrease and our feelings of happiness last longer and longer. Mondays (first Monday of the month):
Rio Rancho Art Association member meeting. Destiny Center, 4401 Northern Boulevard in Rio Rancho. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with a short business meeting followed by a special program including speakers, demonstrations, or other events of interest to artists and art lovers. Each meeting has a social hour following the speaker, including samples of art by members. Meetings are open to the public regardless of artistic experience and media. All are encouraged to join. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow artists, network, make friends, and develop your skills.

Mondays: Come Sing with Sweet Adelines Enchanted Mesa Show Chorus. Tuesdays: Haven House Domestic Violence Support Group for women whose lives have been touched by domestic violence. Topics include Dynamics of Domestic Violence, Safety Plans, Developing Healthy Relationships, and information about available services. First Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. Albuquerque Newcomers' Club Welcome Coffee. This is an opportunity to learn of the Club's many varied activities. Third Tuesdays: Eastern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority (ESCAFCA) meets at 6 p.m. in the Town of Bernalillo Council Chambers. Third Tuesdays: RESOLVE, Central New Mexico, Meeting. RESOLVE provides information and support for those dealing with infertility, pregnancy loss, high-risk pregnancy, making the decision to adopt or life without children. Wednesdays: Mid-day Rio Rancho Toastmasters. The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. First Wednesdays: The Sandoval County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network meets at the Placitas Community Center to provide support and education on various natural living and conscious parenting topics. 6 p.m. Weekly playgroups, book exchanges, and an online forum for parenting support. The Holistic Moms Network is a nonprofit support and discussion network for moms with an interest in natural, holistic, and alternative parenting and living. Our goal is to develop a thriving community which nurtures, supports, and informs mothers and their families. Children are always welcome. Second Wednesdays: Democratic Women of Sandoval County meet at 7 p.m. in the Bernalillo Town Council Chambers. Everyone is welcome to join us for refreshments at 6:30 p.m. when old and new members and guests can converse informally.  At the February 9 meeting DWSC will host a Forum for Candidates seeking to Chair the Democratic Party of New Mexico and Sandoval County Democrats. Thursdays: Depression and bipolar support group meetings. DBSA Albuquerque offers weekly support-group meetings for those suffering from mood disorders. Thursdays (first and third Thursday of the month): The Coronado Optimist Club meetings are held at 6:15 p.m. at Coronado Grill (upstairs). Second Thursdays: Do you want to learn more about politics? The League of Women Voters–Albuquerque, a nonpartisan organization, meets the second Thursday of each month. Fourth Fridays (except April): Casa Rosa Mobile Food Pantry distribution. 1:30-3:30 p.m.,  fellowship hall of Las Placitas Presbyterian Church. Roadrunner truck will bring 2,500 pounds of food, approximately fifty pounds of food per family. All eligible Placitas residents welcome. 

Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Bernalillo Methodist Church group meetings. Sundays are women's only meetings.

Saturdays: Casa Rosa Food Bank is open 9 a.m.-noon in the pink house east of Las Placitas Presbyterian Church on Highway 165, six miles east of I-25. This community outreach program provides nonperishable food items as well as dairy, frozen meats, and fresh produce as available for Placitas residents in need. Donations and volunteers welcome.

April 1: the Rio Rancho Astronomical Society will host its monthly meeting and stargaze at 8:00 p.m. at the Coronado State Monument, and a stargaze will follow the meeting, weather permitting. Telescopes provided by members of the Rio Rancho Astronomical Society will show views of Saturn as well as various nebula, star clusters, and galaxies. The public is invited to attend both events. Celebrate Earth Day – Monument Clean Up, Demonstrations, Storytelling, Kiva Tour…10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the usually gorgeous spring weather, but visitors are encouraged to volunteer to help move the debris into the Waste Management dumpster.
