Wednesdays: Problems with Alcohol? Thinking Straight, Alcoholics Anonymous Step Study Meeting, 6:00 p.m., every Wednesday, now held at the Old Convent, 264 Camino del Pueblo, across from the Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Wednesdays: Project Sandoval County Domestic Violence Group meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Bernalillo City Hall, 829 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo. Support, resources, and counseling are available. 1-800-219-0958.

une 30: Fiesta de San Antonio. Traditional fiesta in the village of Placitas. Dance, booths, prizes, raffle, and bingo. Hamburgers and other food served all day. Beginning at noon.

July 3: Fireworks display at NM Soccer Complex at Santa Ana. Sponsored by the Town of Bernalillo and the Santa Ana Pueblo. $1 per person, $5 per carload. Proceeds benefit Bernalillo Fire and Rescue. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks begin about 8 p.m.

July 4: Nonemergency county offices closed in observance of Independence Day.

July 4: Annual Placitas Fourth of July Parade. Participants assemble in front of Placitas Heights at 10 a.m.; parade starts at 11 a.m.

July 6: Children’s Gardening Fair. Noon to 2:00 p.m. Music, games, theater, exhibits, and lots of fun. Free. Plants of the Southwest, 6680 Fourth Street NW, 344-8830.

July 18: Bernalillo Chamber of Commerce monthly Mix & Mingle at the Sandoval County Historical Society. 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Peruse the archives, learn the history of the area.
