Bobcat

In case you have not seen or heard, there have been many, many sightings of bobcats in the Placitas area lately. About a month ago I spotted a bobcat who had been hit on Highway 165 near the S Curves. He was a beautiful cat about 2 foot long (not including his tail). I didn't see him get hit, but after I pulled him off the road I decided that maybe we should all try to keep our speed close to the speed limit on Highway 165. I have had calls of sightings of bobcats from all over the Placitas area!

SEEN

DOG: White poodle with collar (and purple bow in hair) seen loose along Highway 165 in the Village of Placitas on February 19th. #3433.

FOUND

Found dogCAT: Tortoise shell cat (orange, grey and brown) found in Placitas West on February 3rd. Seems to be a good size kitten, about a couple months old. #3427

DOG: Boxer, 4-5 month old tan/brown dog with white on his chest and black snout, found near the Village of Placitas on February 8th. Found on Camino de las Huertas near Highway 165. Very sweet dog. #3428

DOG: Black Lab, Female, found walking along Highway 165 in Placitas between the 4 & 5 mile markers. Older dog with invisible fence collar. She is very sweet and told me "If I only had tags, I'd be home by now." #3435 (Below)
