Unless otherwise noted, all Sandoval County meetings will be held in the county commission chambers, Sandoval County Courthouse, 711 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, New Mexico.

Monthly: Parents Without Partners offers support, education, and friendship to single parents of all ages, regardless of custody. Get-togethers, family outings, socials. All welcome. Wayne—892-2456.

Wednesdays: Problems with Alcohol? Thinking Straight, Alcoholics Anonymous Step Study Meeting, 6:00 p.m., every Wednesday, now held at the Old Convent, 264 Camino del Pueblo, across from the Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Wednesdays: Project Sandoval County Domestic Violence Group meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Bernalillo City Hall, 829 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo. Support, resources, and counseling are available. 1-800-219-0958.

November 2: UNM Music Prep School ten-year celebration event. Five-time national award winning Green Chili Jam Band. Free family concert. 1-2 p.m. UNM’s Keller Hall. Seating is first-come, first-served. 277-8816.

November 3: Old buildings in Bernalillo and Algodones, a slide show presented by Justin Rinaldi at Sandoval County Historical Society meeting, 3 p.m. Reception for exhibit, sale of members’ arts and crafts, 2 p.m. Exhibit and sale open Sundays, 2 to 4 p.m., through December 8. November 9: Luncheon meeting of the West Mesa Branch of the American Association of University Women. The speaker will be Barbara Carey of the Virginia Gildersleeve Foundation, which aids women around the world. November 10: Placitas Artists Series presents Willy Sucre and Friends Play Piano, Viola, and Clarinet Trios. Composers: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Schumann, Max Bruch. December 8: The Optimists Club de Sandoval holds a Blessing Day Open House. Music, food, nonalcoholic drinks will be provided.
