Laura Robbins creates intricate mosaics - permanent installations on fireplaces, walls and buildings, as well as individual sculptural and relief works. She molds unique clay forms and joins them with glass, tile and stone design. Her work plays with the spontaneity and surprise of broken glass patterning. She enjoys designing large pieces for people’s homes or businesses, envisioning what will work in a space and seeing the idea come to fruition. Mosaic work has an ancient and rich history with many cultural and individualistic styles being part of it. As an artist and craftsperson, Laura loves being part of this tradition.
